I should have written yesterday, but I was too busy celebrating! My first 100mi on my bike. I was so excited. I could have ridden longer. We had a great riding, pushed a little too hard at first, but settled right in around the 2 hour mark.
I know I can finish this race. I know I can finish it feeling with a smile on my face.
For the first time, I am excited about this race. That's just crazy.
The other thing that is consuming my time is bike shopping. I finally got an official bike fit and I am definitely a 51. I want a Cervelo P3 at P2 prices. ha! So...I am searching for a 2008 and crossing my fingers.

Welcome!
I should have started this a few months ago to give you the true picture, but as every one of us knows...time got away from me, so here we are....
A little background first....
My year didn't start off as planned when they canceled the swim portion at St. Anthony's Triathlon in April. I had worked hard to get faster and was looking forward to seeing if the changes I had made paid off. I did have a strong bike and felt great on the run, so I can't complain. This was the 3rd year we had all driven over to St. Pete for the race, so we were prepared. I highly recommend St. Anthony's if any of you are looking for a great spring race to start your year off. Its a competitive olympic distance that usually has great weather.
After St. A's, I had planned to try my effort at qualifying for the Boston marathon, which seems to be a nemesis of mine. My parents are from Mass, so I have lots of family there to cheer for me. (and I just can't handle my grandparents asking me again why I'm not running it...) Well....that lasted a month when the Florida IM opportunity fell in my lap. I couldn't say no. Okay, my husband will tell you that I should have said no, but this is on my "life list" and I feel like, its now or never!
So, here we are....14 weeks till race day. WHOA. I get a little wave of fear and nausea every time I look at that. "Am I doing enough?" seems to be the doubt creeping up lately.
I am fortunate enough to have an amazing group of ironmen around me, so I feel good in that respect, but unfortunately what I am learning is that IM is very individual. You can ask 5 people a single IM question and get 5 different answers.
Monday's are my long swim days, but due to weather issues, I am going to run instead and swim tomorrow. Easy z1 run for 1:30 and weights. Low energy today for some reason.
